A much watched and extremely anticipated vintage, the 2023 Palmaz Cabernet Sauvignon lives up to the hype surrounding its growing season. Once in the glass, the wine methodically reveals itself with intention. Red and black fruits burst on the palate, ripe and vibrant. As the wine spreads across the tongue, 20 months in oak are illustrated by delicate hints of anise and all-spice. Austere but appropriate tannins balance with the wine’s acidic youth, crescendoing into a lingering finale.
